Artist's Comments

Another PC Gamer piece. I'd been wanting to do "American Gothic " for a while but hadn't come up with a satisfactory mix. The editor suggested Grim Fandango and it all suddenly made sense, so here it is. I deco-ised (deco-rated?) the background a bit.

Both the best game ever, and the most parodied picture ever, together in one place. You are to be commended.

The detective must be a complete man and a common man and yet an unusual man. He must be, to use a rather weathered phrase, a man of honor.

I freakin' love Grim Fandango.
Whatever happened to those days when Lucas Arts made witty little third-person adventure games?

Thanks. I tried to get the palette and saturation somewhere between the game and the original painting. They were fairly close anyway so that made it easier.

This is probably my favourite It's All Over since I've been reading PC Gamer. I'd like to put it up on my wall but I don't want to cannibalise the issue I have...oh, decisions decisions...

Don't ask me, I'm just the signature. The comment ended two lines ago.
